Artsite ArtSite Studios was formed in 1999 in response to the need for affordable studio space for artists in Swindon. They have engaged in Public and Community Art and set up arts projects for local people in Penhill and for people recovering from addiction.
Belinda Gizzi Dispite coming from an artistic background it was many years before Belinda returned to her artistic roots. Following in her mother's foot steps Belinda began studying textiles but soon discovered a passion for ceramics.
Chips off the Whole Block This is the first time that such a large group of professional and novice / student sculptors has exhibited together. With over fifteen members, the group draws inspiration from the human form, abstract tactile shapes, nature and the landscape.
Christine Antoinette Christine takes much of her inspiration from nature and has done a series of work based on butterfly wing patterns. Drawing on her graphics training she translates her ideas into vibrant and unique designs.
 
Daved Bent In the1980's David began to travel the world , spending extensive periods of time in Peru, Costa Rica, India and Nepal – always taking photographs, painting, and collecting the ephemera and experiences that form the foundation of his travel influenced paintings and collages.
Deana Kim Page Although Deana loves the diversity of all the work she does, her first love will always be painting and the personal satisfaction she gets from painting for others. She says that when she delivers a painting to a satisfied client,'The feelings of achievement, pride and satisfaction are immense and serve as a constant reminder that I am certainly on the right career path...'
Helene Howse Always fascinated by the magic of colours, she studied art in France. Painting became a passion that changed her life in many ways since 1995, after a period of private tuition from a gifted artist (an ex-Head of Art and Design with Swindon College).
Jennifer Bailey Jennifer has always been interested in colour and art from and early age.
It was at college that she began to sway away from fine art and to realise that she had an eye for blending colours to create a ‘mood' or ‘feeling' without actually painting a traditional picture.
Mary Reyner Mary enjoys both life drawings and landscapes; colourful oils and delicate watercolours; bold charcoals and dramatic inks - Mary's work appeals to diverse tastes.
Meryl Ainsley After numerous successful exhibitions across Britain, and as far away as New Zealand, Meryl founded the Rabley Contemporary Drawing Centre in 2004. She also devised and co-ordinated the Higher National Diploma in Drawing
No Added Sugar No Added Sugar is a community art company, run by professional artists Gordon Dickinson and Toni Robinson, which provides workshops for the local community. They have ongoing partnerships with education, youth services, Wiltshire police and other agencies with whom they have made several public art pieces.
Paula Sullivan Paula has been painting since she was a child. Her inspirations for working in these media are drawn from plants and flowers in her garden, or created from images from a group of plants or flower arrangement, focusing on movement in the leaves and stems.
Scott McGrath Existence, fear, religion, the afterlife and death are just some of the themes that Scott examines within his work. He uses painting and drawing styles as a means to produce metaphors on these themes.
Tim Carroll Tim works in a wide variety of media, including oil, acrylic and watercolour, as well as producing glazed ceramics. He has been studying art since his schooldays. His work is largely figurative and he is currently working on a series of paintings and reliefs based on The Seven Deadly Sins which will be exhibited in The Art Centre from 11th July '06.
back to the top Vanetta Joffe Vanetta has been drawing and painting since she was a child, and now has the time and the space to devote herself to her vocation full time. Her chief interest is the human figure, but she also loves landscape and still life. Her work is eclectic, ranging from realistic representations to the abstraction of subject matter in terms of composition and colour.
