Hélène Howse, (née Morand) was born in St. Lô, France in 1944, married and came to Britain in 1963, and has lived in Swindon since 1972.
Always fascinated by the magic of colours, she studied art in France. Painting became a passion that changed her life in many ways since 1995, after a period of private tuition from a gifted artist (an ex-Head of Art and Design with Swindon College). She has since held several solo exhibitions both in France and England.
Using watercolours, enhanced with pastels, the vibrant paintings are all mounted in white mounts. These may be changed to suit personal preference. Vitrail art (painting on glass) is a new medium for Hélène.
A sample of this work can be seen at the Open Art Showcase at the Arts Centre. For more of Helen's portfolio visit her at her open studio.
