Paula has been painting since she was a child, and received a BA in Fine Art from Newport Art College in 1980. Her inspirations for working in these media are drawn from plants and flowers in her garden, or created from images from a group of plants or flower arrangement, focusing on movement in the leaves and stems.

Mosaic making is so flexible and Paula loves playing with colours, textures, shapes and patterns. The puzzle of fitting all the pieces together is very rewarding to her.

She likes to create warmth and vibrancy in both painting on silk and painting with acrylics by using intense colours.

Paula has exhibited in galleries in Wales, and has been involved in Mosiac workshops and an after school club. She has recently started accepting commissions, after working on a mosaic for La Casita Restaurant in Old Town.
